About the Outdoor Shop
Established in 1981, The Outdoor Shop is now based in Stacey Bushes Trading Centre in the North West corner of Milton Keynes. Retailing through our Stacey Bushes shop and via the Internet, we are now one of the country's leading independent retailers of technical outdoor clothing and equipment.
After over 30 years of The Outdoor Shop being located in Stony Stratford we have moved a couple of miles down the road to our new home in Stacey Bushes. This new location will give us the opportunity to bring together our mailorder, warehouse and shop operations and provide a better and more efficient service.
Why Come To The Outdoor Shop?
The Outdoor Shop supplies equipment for a wide variety of outdoor activities including mountaineering, rock climbing, hill walking, backpacking, trekking and adventure travel.
So whether you have a quest to climb the Seven Summits', spend a winter in Spitzbergen or simply enjoy fell walking in the Lake District we have the equipment and experience to put you on the right footing.
Although we have an emphasis on mountaineering and expeditions we're most often just advising everyday outdoor enthusiasts whose interests range from walking in the Yorkshire Dales, a weekends climbing in Snowdonia to local rambles. Specialist we may be, elitist we are definitely not.
Equally, there is significant cross-over between many outdoor sports, so much of the clothing and equipment we stock is equally suitable for lightweight cycle camping, ski mountaineering or orienteering / adventure racing.
How To Find The Outdoor Shop - New Location!
The Outdoor Shop is now based in the Stacey Bushes Trading Centre near the West tip of Milton Keynes. We can be easily reached by car and public transport. For those with SatNav our postcode is MK12 6HS

Stacey Bushes Trading Centre is best reached by car. There is free parking immediately at the front of our shop
Coming from the North
Approach either via the A43 / A5 (Junction 15a - M1) or via the A508 (Junction 15 - M1) then join the existing A5 then the A422
Coming from the South
Approach either via the A422 / A5 (Junction 14 - M1) or A421 / A422 (Junction 9 - M40)
Opening Hours
The Outdoor Shop is currently open seven days a week.
During holiday periods, our opening times may vary so please double check by phone if you are making a long journey.

The Outdoor Shop Limited
Established as a partnership for over 20 years, in 2002, The Outdoor Shop became a limited company.
There are other retailers who trade under similar names. We would like to make it quite clear that we are a fully independent retailer and we have no connections with any other company trading under similar names. Furthermore our store in Stacey Bushes Trading Centre, Milton Keynes is the only one we have!
