Lightweight materials and weight-saving design features make The North Face Superlight a great all-year bag for mountaineering and cold weather trips. 650+ fill power down offers a great warmth to weight ratio, with patches of synthetic insulation on the bottom where your shoulders and hips will lie to perform better under compression. The footbox is shaped to allow your feet to lie in a natural position with down well-lofted around them to keep them warm on cold nights and the baffle design is tailored to maximise thermal efficiency. Fabrics are lightweight and feel great against the skin, with draught tubes around the face and neck preventing the chimney effect of heat flowing out of the end of the bag. And then there's the little things that make a good product great: glow in the dark zippers reduce fumbling in the middle of the night; a pocket on the draft tube allows you to keep your watch warm and accessible all night; and ground-level seams retain the warmth above the body, even if you have to get up in the night. A lightweight compression sack completes the package, making the Superlight a great option for any cold weather activity.
